AVIATION TRAINING Needs Survey
In a collaborative effort, the DOI bureaus, the U.S. Forest Service and the DOI Office of Aviation Services (OAS) have developed an Interagency Aviation Training (IAT) needs survey. The purpose of the survey is to help plan, coordinate and schedule IAT training events to meet identified requirements. By working together, this effort will reduce FY2014 IAT delivery costs.
Units are encouraged to complete the survey no later than November 30, 2013.
The best and most accurate results will come if a unit level aviation training coordinator completes the survey (e.g. Unit Aviation Officer, Forest Aviation Officer, Forest Training Officer, Aviation Program Manager, etc.). The survey has 11 questions. A Job Aid is available that provides help for those completing the survey. The Job Aid includes a matrix of all courses and their titles as well as course needs by aviation job description.
If a unit needs assistance in completing the survey, please contact Mike Reid, Training Specialist, OAS-TD,
