The IAT Needs Survey for FY2015 will be available for completion in June 2014.

In a collaborative effort, the DOI bureaus, the U.S. Forest Service and the DOI Office of Aviation Services (OAS) have developed an Interagency Aviation Training (IAT) needs survey. The purpose of the survey is to help plan, coordinate and schedule IAT training events to meet identified requirements. By working together, this effort will reduce IAT delivery costs.

The best and most accurate results will come if a unit level aviation training coordinator completes the survey (e.g. Unit Aviation Officer, Forest Aviation Officer, Forest Training Officer, Aviation Program Manager, etc.). The survey has 11 questions. A Job Aid is available that provides help for those completing the survey. The Job Aid includes a matrix of all courses and their titles as well as course needs by aviation job description.

Aggregate results for a bureau or agency will be available to the bureau or agency aviation manager for planning and distribution.
